Hard Reset – Intermec CN50

How do I Hard Reset an Intermec CN50

1. Remove the battery from the back of the device.

2.Replace the battery into the device.

3.Turn on the device by pressing the red telephone button.

4.Together press the <  less than and > greater than arrow keys (orange arrow). You will see a few flashes keep the buttons held down until you come to the IPL Configuration Boot Menu.

5.Press the number 2 this will toggle to yes.

6.Press the 0 button and wait for a minute it will then go to the windows screen. After a minute it will go to the calibration screen and ask you to re-align the screen.

Opticon H21 Hard Reset

First remove the back lid and the battery and return the lock that keeps the lid in place back in the position as if the back lid would be on. Then keep both the POWER + Capture + End keys pressed while inserting the battery.

Power key = the red key on the top of the device. End key = the key with the red phone icon on it. Capture key = the one on the right side of the end key, It has a camera icon on it.

If performed right, the device will shake and boot the white start-up H21 screen. After a few seconds you get a Warning message, press YES to clean boot:

– for H21 numeric keypad: use the button that’s above the F2 key for YES and the button above F3 for NO;

– for H21 qwerty keypad: use the button that’s above the F1 key for YES and the button above F2 for NO.

Users may wish to map keys such as the “*” key on the keypad to allow the user to enter “-” key without using the popup keyboard or dual keys.

Please follow these steps

  1. Download the Keyboard mapping program http://www.handheld.ie/dl/KeyRemap.zip
  2. Extract the cab file and load the file into your MASC program folder
  3. Sync the handheld and goto the MASC Folder find the file KeyRemap.cab and double click on the file and install on device
  4. Select Start,Settings, System Tab and select Keyboard Remapper
  5. Then from the normal tab select physical key “*”
  6. Then in Value select “-“
  7. Click Add Definition button

You can now use the Multiply * key as a Minus – key
